Mr. Trinh Duc Vinh

Mr. Trinh Duc Vinh is currently Deputy Director of Accounting and Auditing Policy Department, Ministry of Finance. He is in charge overall of developing accounting standards for Vietnam in both private and public sectors. The previous positions he has held are at  the Accounting and Auditing Policy Department in Vietnam.

Mr. Vinh has made a great contribution in developing new accounting standards for enterprises stipulated in Circular 200 (2015). He has also developed the accounting consolidation method issued in the Circular 202 (2015). In 2016, He was the main contributor to the accounting system for small and medium enterprises publication. He is recognised as the main author of the Vietnamese accounting standards.

Over his long and distinguished career, Mr. Vinh has been a Consultant, Speaker, and Facilitator in the areas of Accounting Standards and Management Accounting. Many thousands of accounting practitioners have trained under him. He travelled widely around the country to transfer knowledge of the new accounting standards to practitioners and academicians.

Mr. Vinh has a Bachelor of Accounting from the Academy of Finance, Vietnam. He is a member of Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors (VAA). He is a member of VAA’s Executive Committee.

The Institute of Certified Management Accountants is honoured to induct Mr. Trinh Duc Vinh to the Global Management Accounting Hall of Fame® for his services to the profession in Vietnam.
