The Institute’s Industry and Government Engagement Sub-Committee is responsible for obtaining industry advice on the changing professional requirements of management accountants and business analysts. This responsibility extends to engaging with industry and government to ascertain their needs in terms of: (1) employment trends; (2) professional competencies; and (3) skill requirements in terms of migration. Industry advice will extend to providing advice to the Sub-Committees of the Education Committee related to the development of the curriculum of courses in the Institute’s professional education programs and the proposed academic programs. The Industry and Government Engagement Sub-Committee is responsible for recognising new trends in the education sector that could lead to new professional credentials being developed by the Institute. It is also responsible for liaising with universities in developing strategic alliances for research, education and training, and the Emerging Professional Scholarship scheme.
