Those holding a Diploma in Accounting from an accredited or government recognised institution are eligible for Registered Cost Accountant (RCA) membership of the ICMA. They must then complete 8-subjects of Stages 3 & 4 of ICMA’s Graduate Management Accountant (GMA) program, prior to undertaking the 2-subject (Strategic Cost Management & Strategic Business Analysis) CMA Program. Those holding an Advanced Diploma in Accounting from an accredited or government recognised institution are eligible for Registered Business Accountant (RBA) membership of the ICMA. They must then complete 4-subjects of Stage 4 of ICMA’s Graduate Management Accountant (GMA) program, prior to undertaking the 2-subject (Strategic Cost Management & Strategic Business Analysis) CMA Program. These subjects can undertake at any university, or other recognised professional accounting body, or by undertaking these within ICMA’s own GMA Conversion Program which can be done at a Recognised Provider Institution or Online.

On completion of the Graduate Conversion Program, the CMA program can be undertaken at an Accredited University; or Recognised Provider Institution or Online to obtain the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) professional qualification. In addition to the educational qualifications, please note the experience requirements for AMA and CMA membership.
